Advertising Sales Coordinator

Part-time position, approximately 24 hours a week. No weekends or evenings.  Great technical and organizational skills are needed to assist a busy advertising department for a weekly paper in Atlantic County, New Jersey.

Excellent computers skills using Excel and Word are required. Strong verbal and written communications skills, the ability to work under pressure and deadlines and a general knowledge of all office procedures and the internet/web are needed.

Managing Editor (Newspaper/Website)

Overview: Atlantic City Weekly, a member of the Review Publishing newspaper group of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, is seeking an experienced editor or a journalist with at least three years of experience as a managing, associate or assistant editor.

Atlantic City Weekly, established in 1974 as Whoot Newspaper, serves Atlantic County and Cape May County in South Jersey.

Responsibilities: The managing editor is responsible for proofreading/copy-editing, assisting in several aspects of the weekly production process, assigning creative and compelling articles for publication, writing compelling articles, including updated content for our website.

Qualifications/Skills: Qualified applicants should have at least a bachelor’s degree in journalism, great communications and organizational skills and be experienced with InDesign and Web publishing. Audio/video experience a plus.

Compensation: We offer competitive earnings and a comprehensive benefit package.
