
Digital News Organizations
Digital News Organizations (DNOs) gather,
report, edit and provide news and information of a general nature in a digital
format. They may be newspaper websites or independent news organizations.
Membership Qualifications/Standards
DNO applicants must:
- Have been a presence on and
be available to the general public on the World Wide Web for a minimum of
one (1) year.
- Publish news
regularly and be updated a minimum of twice a week.
- Be devoted principally to the dissemination of original content consisting of local or
general news specific to New Jersey which constitutes a significant
percentage of the overall content.
- Have and publish a
fixed title, phone number and address.
- Follow recognized
standards of professional journalism.
- Not serve as a
platform to promote the interest and/or opinions of a special interest
group, individual or cause.
Annual Dues: $367.50
